Realizing past failures are not missed opportunities, but lessons to apply to the future is clutch.

I really don’t know where to begin to update. I’ve got a few long winded pieces I’ve been writing, but none of them need to see the light of day just yet. I’ve trashed a novel I was working on late into the evenings (second one in as many years). Per this bloginator? I don’t know where to begin. Hopefully I will have the chance to write something tomorrow that is more than glowing and fantastic. Until then, I will leave it at this.

It starts perfect. Brand new. As it was intended. It gets lit. It can be burned quickly, but it can also be set down and all the while it burns away. Some fast and some slow. Even when we set the cigarette down… it keeps burning no matter how little we’re paying attention. Either way they all end up tossed aside… just a butt in the trash.

This is a site created by Ian Lehman. Ian is a great techno musician, but these tracks are something else. Not techno by any means. The tracks here really show his talents as a talented multi-faceted musician. Some are ethereal and moody, but all are worth a listen. Seems to be updated regularly.

This is a site that offers a wide range of electronic labels. Make sure to check out the Label Tonewrecker and especially the Bluecid release (you can find a video Paul, the label head of Tonewrecker, made for the track “Humanity is a Corrosive Code” and it is BRILLIANT all around). Either way, check out the site. Lots of MP3 previews.
Yeah, seriously. Rad-Dudes.com is pretty awesome. It even gave me this image (which is by no means a dude!).

So, it can’t be all that bad, right?
I just watched the movie 9. It was a little sketchy on the way the story developed, but I felt that the movie was definitely worth the watch. Beautifully created and a decent story minus the hiccups in how it was delivered. Worth a watch and maybe it will be even better when I get to see it in HD. I know it came out over a month ago, but I’m a little slow on the uptake (and I hate paying 10 bucks for a movie).

Soul Search 2009. Lots of driving. Lots of sitting in the great silence of the desert and tucking in for the night in the rockies.
